A Message from Greg Agnew
Welcome Friends, Visitors, Family, and Neighbors!
As a lifelong resident of Westwood, I’ve experienced a community rich in values, history, and public service. These attributes do not exist in the concrete walls of our buildings, but rather are the results of your hard work and determination as residents of this unique town.
Vast differences can be seen from how we look today as a town, compared to how we stood only a few short decades ago. While we have embraced change in the past, we have always been able to maintain the true character of our town.
Today, we are faced with even greater challenges in our community: the maintenance of our highly valued school system, continued first class municipal services, affordable housing, accessible elderly services, support for our historical society, growth in arts and culture, and the expansion of our library. All of these, which contribute to the spirit of our town, will continue to test our resources in the face of an ongoing unstable financial climate.
I have supported and will continue to support Open Space for the Town of Westwood. I believe the protection, expansion, and continued use of our Open Space is critical in order to support our community, as it enhances our environment and protects natural and municipal resources. I support planned, intelligent, and recreational use of Open Space, at no additional tax burden to the residents.
As a life long resident of Westwood and a proud alumnus of our school system, I am responsive, experienced, and trustworthy, and know I am prepared to help lead our town through our current challenges, and with future tribulations.
I believe we can all ride the wings of change and continue the proud tradition of our town’s reputation as one of the best places to live. Join with me and the enthusiastic residents of our town, and experience the true benefit of civil service.
Once again, thank you for visiting my site, and being a part of a civic-minded community.
Best Wishes,
